SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The No. 19 USCA golf team moved up two spots on Monday and is tied with Western Carolina for second place at the Wofford Invitational.

Michael Carlisle's squad's charge to second place was due to
Karl Frisk's five-under par, 66. He is tied for fifth after moving up 34 spots. After posting a bogey on No. 11, Frisk birdied five consecutive holes (No. 15, No. 16, No. 17, No. 18, No. 1) and recorded another birdie on No. 7.
Cameron Baez climbed one position on the day and is now in second place at six-under par, 136. He accounted for birdies on No. 12, No. 15 and No. 1. Baez shot two-under par, 69, on Monday.
Hugo Boyer moved up 21 spots and is tied for 12
th at one-under par, 141. He went two-under par, 69, during the second round of action. Boyer had three bogeys but birdied No. 17, No. 1, No. 2, No. 6 and No. 9.
Ian Williams is tied for 33
rd at three-over par, 145. He posted a second-round 76.
Mitchell McNeill shot eight-over par, 79, on Monday and stands at nine-over par, 151. He is tied for 60
th.
USF leads the field at 11-under par, 557. The Pacers are tied with WCU at eight-under par, 560. Winthrop is fourth (-2, 566) while Mercer and Wofford are tied for fifth (+6, 574) in the 13-team field.
