EATONTON, Ga. – The USCA golf team registered a second-place finish at the Bobcat Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team shot nine-over par, 569, for the 36-hole event. The field was comprised of 14 teams, including eight of the top 25 squads in the Scoreboard powered by clippd national rankings.
The Pacers were led by
Cameron Baez's second-place effort. Baez shot one-under par, 139, for the tournament. He tied three other student-athletes for second place. Baez opened the tournament at one-over par, 71, before carding a two-under par, 68, Tuesday afternoon.
Ian Williams tied for eighth at two-over par, 142. He shot an opening-round 70 before carding a two-over par, 72, during the final 18 holes of competition.
Mitchell McNeill shot four-over par, 144. He tied for 14
th. After opening with a four-over par, 74, he shot an even-par, 70, for the second round.
Karl Frisk earned a top-20 finish by tying for 19
th. He shot five-over par, 145.
Hugo Boyer tied for 37
th at eight-over par, 148. Frisk's first round was at two-over par, 72, while Boyer's second round was at two-over par, 72.
Georgia Southwestern, ranked seventh nationally, won the tournament at three-over par, 563. USCA tied No. 1 Grand Valley State (569). Eckerd (576) was fourth while No. 2 West Florida was fifth (577).
