TOCCOA, Ga. – The No. 7 USCA golf team registered a victory while
Mitchell McNeill tied for medalist honors at the AU/Ersinke Currahee Invitational.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team won the tournament by shooting 11-under par, 853. The squad posted scores of 275-282-296 at the 54-hole event. USCA bested second-place Erskine by three strokes (856) and defeated third-place North Greenville by 11 strokes (864).
McNeill tied for medalist accolades by shooting six-under par, 210. He posted scores of 69-70-71 over the tournament. McNeill tied Drew Andrews for top honors. The outstanding finish allowed McNeill to earn a spot on the all-tournament team.
Ian Williams garnered a fifth-place finish by shooting two-under par, 214. He accounted for scores of 70-71-73.
Cameron Baez earned a 13
th-place effort by shooting even-par, 216. He tallied scores of 66-72-78.
Hugo Boyer registered a top-20 finish by placing 20
th. He shot one-over par, 217. Boyer had scores of 70-69-78.
Jan Sustek tied for 27
th place at four-over par, 220. He recorded scores of 74-72-74.
The Pacers return to action Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Furman Invitational.
