Each week, the University of South Carolina Aiken will produce weekly notes. This week, USC Aiken hosts Flagler on Wednesday before playing at Young Harris on Saturday. The team returns home on Monday for a rescheduled match against Georgia Southwestern.  

Wynston For The Win!

Wynston Johnson had himself a huge match in the shutout victory over Belmont Abbey. In 2021, he had five total points. Against the Crusaders, Johnson posted a goal and two assists for four points. He had a foot in all three of the USC Aiken scores.

Getting The Shutout

Cason Donahue had an outstanding day in the win over Belmont Abbey. He turned away four shots and directed his defense tremendously in the victory. It marked the first career shutout for Donahue. 

Spreading It Around

Head coach Ike Ofoje's team spread the offense around in the win over Belmont Abbey. Wynston Johnson scored a goal and had a pair of assists. Davide Panucci and Lucas Pegorer were recipients of both assists from Johnson while Jaymee Kambel assisted on the goal to Johnson.

Snapping The Streak

The 3-0 win over Belmont Abbey marked USC Aiken's first win since a 3-2 victory over Clayton State on Sept. 7. The Pacers had lost seven straight matches.

Inside The Numbers

This week, USC Aiken hosts Flagler on Wednesday, Oct. 12 before playing at Young Harris on Saturday, Oct. 15. A rescheduled match against Georgia Southwestern on Oct. 17 is also on the slate. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 44-110-19 (30.9 percent) in Wednesday matches and 65-121-18 (36.2 percent) in Saturday contests. The squad is 12-16-3 (43.5 percent) in Monday affairs. During the same time, the squad is 2-5-1 on Oct. 12 and 3-8-0 on Oct. 15. The team is 2-4-2 on Oct. 17.

Against The Opponents

This week, USC Aiken hosts Flagler on Wednesday, Oct. 12 before playing at Young Harris on Saturday, Oct. 15. The team wraps up the week with a rescheduled match against Georgia Southwestern on Monday, Oct. 17. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers trail the all-time series 12-3-1 to Flagler. USC Aiken trails the all-time series to the Mountain Lions 12-1-1. The team is 12-4-2 against the Hurricanes.
