NEWBERRY, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's cross country team finished 11
th at the Newberry Invitational Saturday morning.
Belmont Abbey won the 13-team race. Truett-McConnell and Columbia (S.C.) wrapped up the top three at the race.
Head coach
Marshall Leonard's team was led by
Olivia Robertson's 49
th-place effort. Robertson crossed the line in 22:34.4.
Kaitlynn Ford posted a mark of 23:34.8 for 60
th place.
Milan Simmons was not far behind, taking 63
rd after finishing in 24:20.9
Ali Samaha was one spot back of Simmons. She notched a 5k time of 24:38.0.
Madison Hart placed 65th after reaching the line in 24:38.
Sirena Moreno was 66
th, posting a time of 25:00.8.
Mia Maupin garnered a time of 27:34.9, which was good enough for 79
th.
The race marked the final regular-season event for USC Aiken.
The Pacers return to action at the PBC Championship Nov. 4 in Augusta, Ga.
