AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's cross country team has been tabbed eighth in the PBC Preseason Poll, which was recently released.
USC Aiken was tied with Lander for eighth place. North Georgia was picked to finish first while Flagler and Augusta were second and third, respectively.
The poll was voted on by the league's head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own team.
The Pacers finished eighth at the PBC Championship a season ago, marking the team's highest finish in a decade.
The squad returns four solid runners from the 2020 campaign. USC Aiken also added a pair of standout freshmen to the roster.
The team opens the season on Friday, Sept. 10 at the 9
th Annual UNG Invitational.
