Salvador Bandeira,
Antonio Sabugueiro and
Tales Silva all picked up accolades from the PBC, which were announced Thursday evening.
Bandeira earned PBC Freshman of the Year honors.
The trio garnered all-conference honors for singles play while Bandeira and Sabugueiro also notched second-team accolades for doubles competition.
Bandeira, a redshirt-freshman from Caparica, Portugal, wrapped up the regular season with an 11-4 singles record, including a 9-3 ledger at No. 2 singles. Bandeira posted a 13-3 doubles mark – all of which came at No. 1 with Sabugueiro.
Sabugueiro, a junior from Sintra, Portugal, posted a 14-2 mark in singles action for the year. He went 3-0 at No. 2 and 11-2 at No. 3. Sabugueiro accounted for a 13-3 record at No. 1 doubles with Bandeira. The duo finished the season ranked No. 5 nationally in doubles play.
Silva, a junior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, competed the entire season at the No. 1 singles position. He finished with a 10-5 record, including a 5-4 mark in league play.
The trio guided the Pacers to a No. 6 national ranking and a No. 4 spot in the NCAA Region Rankings after finishing second in the PBC.
