Throughout the 2019 season, the USC Aiken Athletic Communications office will provide weekly notes, giving all of Pacer Nation an in-depth look at the team.
Hannon's Hit
Last Friday, newcomer
Jackson Hannon head to the plate with two runners on in the bottom of the ninth inning. He promptly belted a single to center field on a 1-2 pitch. The base knock allowed
Chandler Rogers to cross home, giving the Pacers a 13-12 win over UNC Pembroke.
The Comeback
Head coach
Kenny Thomas' team found itself trailing 5-2 midway through the third inning of the win over the Braves. However, the team responded with a seven-run fourth inning for a 9-5 advantage. The big inning was highlighted a pair of RBI doubles from
Conner Durden and
Alex Mills.
Suspenseful
The win over the Braves was indeed suspenseful. USC Aiken held a 12-9 lead going into the ninth, but UNC Pembroke managed to score three runs to knot it at 12-12. The Pacers were able to get out of the inning without further damage despite the Braves having the bags full with only one out.
The Last Time
