Besting The Patriots
Head coach
Steve Dahm's team bested Francis Marion in the PBC opener by a 6-1 score. It marked the fifth straight victory in the series, helping USC Aiken pull within eight matches of tying the all-time series between the schools.
It Can't Rain All The Time
Rain has altered much of the 2019 schedule – and it did so again last week. Sunday's home match against Limestone was postponed by a day and was played Monday at 1:30 p.m.
Dominating The Opposition
USC Aiken won two of the three doubles matches, securing a point. The squad then bested the Saints in five of the six singles matches en route to the 6-1 victory.
Remaining Undefeated
The Pacers are 6-0 on the season, marking the best start by the program since it started 7-0 in 1999.
Inside The Numbers
This week, USC Aiken hosts Augusta on Wednesday, March 6. The Pacers play Chowan on Saturday, March 9 and Bluefield State on Sunday, March 10 in a pair of neutral site matches in Florence, S.C. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 38-22 in Wednesday contests (63.3 percent). The squad is 76-49 in Saturday affairs (60.8 percent) and 41-48 in Sunday matches (46.1 percent). During the same time, the squad is 6-1 on March 6, 3-1 on March 9 and 2-3 on March 10.
