Quick Work
The USC Aiken women's tennis team picked up a 4-0 win at Benedict rather quickly last week. The squad won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles before winning by default at No. 3.The squad won No. 5 and No. 6 singles by forfeit and picked up the team win after winning at No. 4 via default.
Nearly Perfect
Head coach
Steve Dahm's team won two doubles matches at Benedict, clinching the overall doubles point. The tandem of
Karina Blas and
Edith Croda notched a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles. The squad wasted little effort in the other win, posting a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles.
Region Win
The USC Aiken women's tennis team picked up a 4-0 win at Benedict last week. The Pacers only played two matches while winning the rest by forfeit and/or default.
Undefeated
With the 6-1 win over visiting Coker last week, the Pacers improved to 4-0 on the year. Through the first four contests (Newberry was rained out), the squad has dropped just two points – a 6-1 decision against Erskine and a 6-1 contest against Coker.
Inside The Numbers
This week, USC Aiken travels to Georgia Gwinnett on Friday, Feb. 15 and to Anderson on Sunday, Feb. 17. Since the start of the program, the Pacers are 54-47 (53.5 percent) in Friday matches and 45-61 (42.4 percent) in Sunday contests. The squad is also 4-3 on Feb. 15 and 5-3 on Feb. 17.
Against The Opponents
This week, USC Aiken travels to Georgia Gwinnett on Friday, Feb. 15 and to Anderson on Sunday, Feb. 17. The Pacers are 0-3 in the all-time series against GGC, but the team leads the Trojans 8-2 in the all-time series.
