Earning A Point
The PBC tournament features the top six teams in men's soccer this season. After playing the top two teams in the league, USC Aiken picked up its first point of the conference schedule with a tie at Georgia Southwestern. The Pacers are just two points back from sixth place (a win equals three points and a tie equals one point) in the standings with four matches to go against conference competition.
Clean Sheet
Newcomer
Alejandro Chavarria picked up his second clean sheet of the season with the shutout at Georgia Southwestern. While stopping four shots, he now has two road shutouts, helping the Pacers go 1-0-1 in those contests. His other shutout was a 2-0 victory at Belmont Abbey.
Only A Handful Left
The USC Aiken men's soccer team has just five more regular-season matches this season, including just three at home. The squad hosts King and Flagler this week before playing the next two weeks away. The squad returns home for Senior Day on Oct. 27 against Clayton State.
Inside The Numbers
This week, USC Aiken hosts a pair of matches. The team hosts King on Wednesday, Oct. 10 before entertaining Flagler on Saturday, Oct. 13. Since moving to Division II, USC Aiken is 42-91-19 (33.9 percent) in Wednesday contests and 62-106-17 (38.1 percent) in Saturday affairs. During that same time, the squad is 4-1-2 on Oct. 10 and 3-3-1 on Oct. 13.
