Box Score FLORENCE, S.C. – The No. 15 University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team dropped an elimination game to Flagler Friday morning by an 8-4 score in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.
The Pacers are now 39-13 on the season.

Kenny Thomas' team jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second. With one away,
Zach Moon launched a solo round-tripper over the right field fence on a 1-0 pitch for the one-run advantage.
The Saints answered with four runs in the top of the third for a 4-1 margin. However, USC Aiken sliced into the three-run deficit with a run of its own in the bottom of the third inning.
Luke Westerberg ripped a one-out, 1-1 pitch down the left field line. With two away,
Nile Goings roped a base hit to center field, allowing Westerberg to trot in from third base, making it a 4-2 contest.
Flagler added three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth, pushing the margin to six at 8-2.
The Pacers had the makings of a big inning in the eighth. Goings led off the stanza with a double to center field, with the ball landing between three position players for the designated visitors.
With Goings on third, Moon blasted a single to center field, making it 8-3 with one down. A single from
Daulton Weeks pushed Moon to second base.
Jonathan Banks posted an RBI single through the right side of the infield. Moon scored on the play.
With runners on the corner,
Tyler Ammerman's hard hit ball turned into an inning-ending double play.
Jose Bonilla led off the ninth with a single, but a double play erased him from the base paths.
For the game, Westerberg tallied three hits. Goings, Moon and Weeks added two hits apiece. Moon drove in two runs and crossed home twice in the loss.
The Pacers will watch the NCAA Selection Show Sunday at 10 p.m.
