AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 30 University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team lost a 6-3 decision to No. 12 Flagler Sunday afternoon.
The Pacers fall to 4-3 on the season while the Saints improve to 8-1.

Steve Dahm's team started out strong, snagging two of the three doubles matches.
The No. 1 tandem of Marie Habiyaremye and
Olivera Veskovac notched an 8-5 victory. Third-seeded
Nadine Tusiama and
Victoria Giannaccini teamed up for an 8-4 win at the No. 3 spot.
Despite being ahead 2-1, USC Aiken was unable to pull off three singles wins for the match.
The team fought hard, but the lone victor in singles action for Dahm was Giannaccini, who registered a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 6 spot.
Tusiama lost the first set 6-2 at No. 1, but bounced back to force extra points in the second stanza. However, she lost that set 7-5.
Veskovac battled hard, but lost a 7-5, 6-2 decision at the No. 2 spot.
The Pacers return to action Friday when they travel to North Georgia. The match is slated to start at 2:30 p.m.
