AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 39 University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team lost a 6-3 decision to No. 3 Armstrong State Friday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 3-2 on the season.

Steve Dahm's team jumped on top of the top-10 squad by winning a pair of doubles matches.
Second-seeded
Antonio Sabugueiro and
Tales Silva put together an 8-6 victory over their counterparts.
Hunter Lathrop and
Wojciech Adamek garnered a victory by the same score at No. 3.
USC Aiken went up 3-2 after Sabugueiro notched a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the No. 2 slot. However, the visitors managed to win the remaining matches.
Mathias Degardin won the first set 6-3 at No. 1 before falling 6-1, 6-2 in the three-set loss. Lathrop also came close to winning, but lost the third and deciding set. He picked up a win by a 6-3 score in the second frame to force the extra set.
Adamek forced extra points in the first set, but lost 7-5, 6-3 at the No. 5 position.
Alvaro Garcia Gil lost by a 6-3, 6-3 count at No. 6.
The Pacers return to action Sunday when they host Flagler at 12 p.m.
