Pacers Upend Jaguars

AUGUSTA, GA - The University of South Carolina Aiken's women's tennis team defeated GRU Augusta, 5-4, Wednesday afternoon in a PBC match between the two rivals. 

The Pacers are now 9-4 overall, including a 4-3 mark in league play.

USCA dropped all three doubles matches, but was able to claim five of the six singles matches.

In the No. 1 slot, Margot Simon defeated Aida Castany, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. Nadine Tusiama and Shauna Williams held down the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, winning 6-0, 6-1 and 5-7, 6-2, 6-4, respectively.

Victoria Jasko and Julie Arruda rounded out the victory for the Pacers, winning 6-2, 6-4 and 6-1, 6-2, respectively.

The Pacers will next be in action, Thursday, March 27 when they take on Limestone at home. The match is slated for 3 p.m.
