FLORENCE, S.C. – The seventh-seeded University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team was unable to upset the second-seeded/nationally sixth-ranked Columbus State women's tennis team in a 5-0 loss to the Cougars in the quarterfinals of the Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Championship at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.
The loss to Columbus State (20-2) sends USC Aiken (10-11) into the elimination bracket of the championship.
The Pacers will next face off against rival and sixth-seeded Augusta State in the elimination round at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 13. Augusta State fell 5-0 to third-seeded Francis Marion in its quarterfinal match on Friday.
