AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team rolled to its fourth straight victory in a 7-2 Peach Belt Conference win over Lander on Saturday afternoon at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex.
The USC Aiken women (12-5, 6-3 PBC) have now won eight of their last nine matches after the win over Lander (9-10, 4-7 PBC) on Saturday.
The nationally 33rd-ranked USC Aiken men's tennis team fell 8-1 to national No. 9 Lander (15-3, 6-2 PBC) on Saturday.
USC Aiken's (6-6, 0-6 PBC) lone win on Saturday came at No. 5 singles with Lucas Gobbi (Santa Bárbara d'Oeste, Brazil/Colegio Politec) knocking off Lander's Diego Zegarra 7-5, 1-6, 10-8.
The Pacer men and women will next welcome Peach Belt Conference foe Flagler to the USC Aiken Tennis Complex on Tuesday, April 10. The action is set to get underway at 12 p.m.
