AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's men's tennis team, ranked 37th in NCAA Division II, beat North Greenville College, 5-4, today at the USCA Tennis Complex in Aiken, S.C. The Pacers (12-9) won two of three doubles matches and then had to hold off a charge by the Crusaders (2-9) in singles play.

Fernando Blanco and Fernando Guevara easily dispatched Andy Hack and Sanchez Smith, 8-1, in number three doubles. Blanco finished the day 2-0 after beating Smith in number six singles, 6-0 and 6-1.

Nicolas Lombardo at number two singles and Nikesh Singh at number five singles picked up USCA's other two singles victories, both winning in straight sets.

The Pacers will be back in action on Monday when they host Georgia College & State University for their last Peach Belt Conference match of the season. The action at the USCA Tennis Complex will begin at 3:00 p.m.
