AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's men's tennis team, ranked 32nd in NCAA Division II, beat Concord University, 9-0, today at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex in Aiken, S.C. The win was the seventh straight for the Pacers, who improve to 9-3 on the season. Concord, located in Athens, W.Va., falls to 0-3 overall.
Three Pacers won their singles matches without losing a single game.
Pierre Negri at number two singles,
Nikesh Singh at number three singles and
Jeff West at number four singles, all won by 6-0 and 6-0 scores.
Bogdan Diaconescu and
John Percival each lost just one game in number five and six singles.Â
The Pacers will step back into Peach Belt Conference play on Thursday when they travel across the Savannah River to face rival Augusta State University. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
