AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's men's tennis team, ranked 32nd in NCAA Division II, beat Wingate University, 7-2, today at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex in Aiken, S.C. The win was the sixth straight for the Pacers, who improve to 8-3 on the season. The Bulldogs fall to 1-4 overall.

Pierre Negri picked up a win at number one singles without losing a single match. Negri beat Joe Kaneka, 6-0 and 6-0. Fernando Blanco and Nikesh Singh each lost just one game on their way to wins at number five and six singles.

The duo of Blanco and Singh teamed for an 8-1 win in number three doubles.

Wingate earned points with a win at number one doubles and number two singles. Kanekar and Jacobo Uribe edged Nicolas Lombardo and Carlos Huerta, 9-7, in doubles. Uribe then defeated Lombardo, 7-5, 6-7 and 10-5 in singles play.

The Pacers will return to action on Wednesday when they host Concord College, at 2:00 p.m., at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex.
