AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's men's tennis team, ranked 32nd in NCAA Division II, defeated two opponents today at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex in Aiken, S.C., to extend its winning streak to five. The Pacers (7-3) defeated Northern Kentucky University (0-3) and Roger Williams University (0-4) by an identical 9-0 score.

In the first match against Northern Kentucky, Fernando Guevara, Fernando Blanco and Nikesh Singh each lost just two games on their way to straight set victories in number four, five and six singles. 

The doubles team of Guevara and Pierre Negri defeated Adam Moler and Billy Hopkins in number two doubles by a score of 8-0.

In the second match against Roger Williams University, located in Bristol, R.I., USC Aiken won four matches without losing a single game. Nicolas Lombardo at number two singles and Blanco at number five singles, each defeated their opponents by 6-0 and 6-0 scores.

In doubles play Carlos Huerta and Lombardo teamed to defeat Rob Mincarelli and Jay Don, 8-0, in number one doubles. Guevara and Negri beat Dan Roberts and Eric Adams, 8-0, in number two doubles.

The Pacers will return to action on Sunday when they host Wingate University, at 1:00 p.m., at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex.
