Box Score 2 MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.--Only three runs separated the Pacers and Bobcats after their three-game Peach Belt Conference baseball series, but fortunately for 27th ranked USC Aiken (19-7, 7-5 PBC), it translated into three one-run wins for the Pacers over #25 Georgia College & State University (16-13, 7-8 PBC). After winning the opener last night 4-3 in 10 innings, USCA took game one of a twinbill on Saturday afternoon 7-6 in 10 innings and then won the nightcap 5-4.
The wins improve the Pacers' record to 9-4 versus top 30 teams this season and USC Aiken picks up its first road conference series sweep since April 7, 2002, a span of 12 road PBC series.
In game one, USC Aiken opened the scoring on an RBI single through the left side off the bat of Matt Tripp plating
Brandon Barenie. Wes Sorrells led off the fifth with a solo homer to knot things up at 1-1 for the Bobcats.
But the Pacers quickly went back out on top in the top of the sixth pushing across three to take a 4-1 advantage.
Robert Davis doubled home
Daniel Quartararo,
Darryl Pui singled in Davis, and Tripp brought in Pui on a double down the left field line. Tripp led the Pacers going 3-for-4 with three RBI in just his second start of the season while Barenie and

GC&SU chipped away at the Pacer lead with one in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to pull even at 4-4. After a scoreless ninth, the teams headed to extra frames for the second straight day. Tripp's RBI single put the Pacers in front while
Marc Joehnk drove in two more to make it 7-4.
Giuseppe Rivas made it interesting with an RBI single to left field plating Hans Stancil and Justin Mills to make it a one-run game, but Sorrells lined out to end the game.
Peden Rucker allowed four earned runs on seven hits and one walk, striking out six in 7.2 innings of work.
Bobby White (1-0) came on to work the final 2.1 innings giving up two unearned runs on three hits and two walks, fanning four in the win.
