Box Score AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken fell to second ranked University of North Florida, 10-3, tonight in a match-up of Peach Belt Conference baseball teams at Roberto Hernandez Stadium in Aiken, S.C. The Pacers drop to 25-23 overall and 9-16 in conference games. The Ospreys improve to 35-13 on the season and 20-5 in the PBC. Travis Stanton went the distance on the mound for UNF and struck out eight batters on his way to improving to 12-0 on the season.
Three consecutive hits by North Florida to start the second inning produced the first run of the game. Sadry Café's RBI single followed a lead-off double by Joey Russell and a base hit by Matt Oxendine. After a double play, Mike Fryrear made it 2-0 with a run scoring double down the left field line. Josh Howard, the next batter, capped the inning with a single that scored Fryrear.
The Pacers cut the lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the third inning.
Daniel Quartararo drew a two-out walk.

Bradley Key's RBI base knock to the gap in left-center field.
Back-to-back singles through the left side to start the sixth inning put runners on again for Fryrear. With one out, the Osprey second baseman singled up the middle to plate Oxendine. USC Aiken looked to have an inning-ending double play, but Quartararo's throw from second was wide and UNF's Café scored on the error to put the Ospreys ahead 5-1.
Fryrear went four-for-four with a run scored and a pair of RBIs. Oxendine finished with three hits in five at bats and three runs scored.Â

Mike Cunningham and a sacrifice fly by
Tony Hanks in the bottom of the sixth cut the North Florida advantage to 5-3, but the Pacers would get no closer. Cunningham and
Robert Davis each finished two-for-four.
UNF tacked on two more in the seventh and three in the ninth to post the 10-3 win. Russell's two-run home run over the left-center field wall finished off the scoring for North Florida. Russell had three hits in five at bats, two runs scored and two driven in.
North Florida out hit USCA 18-6 and ripped six doubles.
Steve Dunham (2-9) suffered the loss for USC Aiken. The junior pitched five and two-thirds innings, allowed 12 hits, five runs and struck out three batters.
The Pacers and the Ospreys will finish off their Peach Belt Conference series with a doubleheader on Saturday. The first pitch at Roberto Hernandez Stadium is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
