AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's men's tennis team fell to Mount Olive College, 5-4, today at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex in Aiken, S.C. The Pacers (3-3) lost two singles matches in three sets. A win in either of those matches would have given USCA the team victory. The Trojans (4-2) took the early lead by winning two of the three doubles matches.

Fernando Guevara fell behind after one set to Ibrahim Bouaabdalli in the number three singles match. Guevara came back and won set two, 6-4, but fell 7-5 in set three. 

Carlos Huerta won the first set in the number six singles match over Renato Varella, 7-5, but Varella came back to win the next two sets by 6-4 scores.

Pierre Negri defeated Fernando Crisosto, the 41st ranked player in NCAA Division II, in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-1.

The Pacers will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Newberry, S.C., to face Newberry College beginning at 2:00 p.m.
