AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's women's tennis team defeated Belmont Abbey College, 9-0, today at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex in Aiken, S.C. The Lady Pacers, the 40th ranked team in NCAA Division II, improve to 6-9 on the season while the Crusaders fall to 2-8 overall.

Mayra Kaefer and
Monica Budnichuk each lost just one game in their straight set victories. Cassetori defeated Stephanie Moser in the number one singles match, 6-1 and 6-0. Kaefer won in the number two spot over Carly Curry, 6-1 and 6-0. In the number four singles match, Budnichuk took down Priscilla Kelly 6-0 and 6-1.
USC Aiken won the number five and six singles matches and number three doubles match by default.
Otavia Bastos and
Heather Thornton lost just one game in their 8-1 win over Daniela Ortega and Kelly in the number two doubles match.
The Lady Pacer tennis team will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to Florence, S.C., for a Peach Belt Conference match with Francis Marion University, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
