AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken's men's tennis team earned its first win of the season by beating Johnson C. Smith University, 9-0, today at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex in Aiken, S.C. The Pacers improve to 1-2 overall. The Golden Bulls fall to 4-5 in 2004.

Harshit Sharma defeated Michael White, 6-0 and 6-0, in the number one singles match. Fernando Blanco and Carlos Huerta each defeated their opponents by 6-1 and 6-0 scores.

Sharma teamed with Nicolas Lombardo to defeat White and Larry Holmes Jr., 8-3, in the number one doubles match. Pierre Negri and Blanco downed Frento Burton and Jonathan Nettles 8-1.

The Pacers will return to action on Monday when they travel to face Wingate University beginning at 2:30 p.m.
