MORROW, Ga.—USC Aiken's women's tennis team was blanked by 10th ranked Clayton College & State University, 9-0, yesterday at the Clayton State Tennis Complex in Morrow, Ga. The Lady Pacers fall to 1-4 on the season and 0-4 in Peach Belt Conference play. The Lakers improve to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the PBC.
Jackeline Nieto defeated
Maria Claudia Romo in the number one singles match and then teamed with Nathalia Collantes to down
Romo and
Nicole Copp, 8-0, in the number one doubles match.
Coppcame the closest to notching a win. She fell to Aline Quintal 6-3 and 7-5.
The Lady Pacers will return to action today when they travel to Savannah, Ga., for a match up with second ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University beginning at 2:00 p.m.
