AIKEN, S.C. – The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USCA Student-Athlete of the Week is softball standout Abbie Kegley.

A native of Quinton, Va., Kegley had a remarkable week in the circle.

In the opener against region foe Wingate, Kegley tossed her first career no-hitter. She had 10 strikeouts in the complete-game, 3-0 victory over the Bulldogs.

She also picked up a win in the series finale against Flagler. Kegley entered the game in relief and promptly tossed 7.1 innings with four strikeouts in the 10-inning 6-5 win.

She also pitched in the opener against the Saints, falling 1-0 with four strikeouts. In that contest, she did not allow an earned run.
 
The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USCA Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
