AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout
Tehree Horn has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for February.
Horn, a native of Toledo, Ohio, led the Pacers to a 6-2 month.
It marked the second time this season he has picked up the award.
Horn averaged 19.1 points per game during the eight games. In addition to leading his team in scoring, he snagged a team-best 5.8 rebounds per game. For the month, Horn dished out 16 assists, had 11 steals and swatted six shots.
Horn hit 47.4 percent of his field goals, including 38.9 percent from downtown. He also canned 87.9 percent of his free throws for the month.
Horn erupted for a career-high 32 points in the win at Flagler while canning 13-of-19 from the floor in the game, including six-of-nine from distance. He followed it up with a 29-point performance on 11-of-16 shooting from the floor in the win over nationally-ranked Augusta.
In the regular-season finale, Horn posted 23 points in the second half, helping the Pacers secure the No. 1 seed in the PBC Tournament. His third point of the half marked his 1,000
th career point at USC Aiken.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2022-23 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
