AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women’s soccer standout Megan Gettys has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month.

Gettys, a native of Mandeville, La., led the Pacers to a 2-2-2 month.

In the 2-1 win at Southern Wesleyan, she scored both goals while being named PBC Player of the Week for her efforts.

In the loss to nationally-ranked Flagler, Gettys dished out her first collegiate assist.

She scored both goals in the match against Young Harris before erupting for three goals in the win at Albany State. It marked the most goals in a match by a Pacer since Sarah Moore did so in the 2016 victory at Francis Marion.

For the month, Gettys accounted for seven goals and one assist.
