AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Leo Johansson has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for April.

Johansson, a 6-0 sophomore from Djurö, Sweden, had a pair of top-10 finishes during the month.

At the Argonaut Invitational, he finished three-under par, 213. At the par-72 course, Johansson notched scores of 71-69-73. His 213 was good enough for eighth place at the event.

Johansson shot five-under par, 211, at the PBC Championship. He shot scores of 69-72-70 for his three-round tally. Johansson finished second in the 45-person field. His score was good enough for an all-tournament team selection.

The South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2020-21 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
