AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's cross country standout Sophie King has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 18, 2020.

King, a junior from Aiken, S.C., led the Pacers to a fourth-place finish at the Sand Shark Invitational.

King was the team's top runner at the 5k meet. She placed 16^th at the event with a personal-best time of 21:28.40.

King averaged a 6:54.3 mile.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
