AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's cross country standout Eliza Chase has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 4, 2020.

Chase, a freshman from Aiken, S.C., guided the Pacers to a fifth-place finish at the Koala Classic.

Running a 6k, Chase led the team with a 22^nd-place effort. She crossed the line in a 6k time of 25:15.8. Chase established a personal-best time in the event.

She notched a 5k split time of 21:30, which marked another personal-best for her.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
