AUGUSTA, Ga. – The USCA women's soccer team has been selected seventh in the PBC Preseason Poll while Greta Ohlwein garnered preseason all-conference honors.

Head coach Adam Kleman's squad is coming off an 8-7-3 ledger, including a 4-4-2 mark in PBC play. The Pacers garnered 36 points in the preseason poll.

Columbus State was picked to win the league and tallied 73 points. North Georgia was second with 71 points. Lander (66 points), GCSU (57 points) and Flagler (53 points) rounded out the top five. USC Beaufort was sixth with 39 points. Georgia Southwestern (24 points), Clayton State (18 points) and Middle Georgia (13 points) concluded the poll.

Ohlwein, a senior from Highland Park, Ill., earned first-team all-conference honors a season ago. She paced USCA with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points. Ohlwein accounted for a pair of match-winning goals.

The Pacers open the season Thursday, Aug. 27, at Francis Marion. The team opens the home portion of the slate on Sunday, Aug. 30, against Mount Olive at 4:30 p.m., at the new soccer stadium.
