VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 11 USCA golf team finished 15
th at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship, which wrapped up Saturday afternoon.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team shot 21-over par, 886, for the 54-hole tournament. The Pacers shot four-over par, 292, on Saturday.
Mitchell McNeill moved up 15 spots on the final day of competition and tied for 34
th place. He shot one-under par, 71, during the final round. McNeill finished the event at two-over par, 218.
Hugo Boyer and
Ian Williams tied for 73
rd at nine-over par, 225. Williams shot even-par, 72, on Sunday while Boyer went four-over par, 76.
Karl Frisk tied for 83
rd after posting a score of 12-over par, 228, for the tournament.
Cameron Baez shot 13-over par, 229, at the regional. His final round one-over par, 73, was his best 18 holes of the tournament.
Nova Southeastern claimed the regional at 24-under par, 840. West Florida was second after shooting 18-under par, 846. Lee (-16, 848), Georgia Southwestern (-14, 850) and Florida Southern (-11, 853) rounded out the top five teams. Columbus State (-4, 860) and Wingate (+1, 865) made the cut and will join the top five teams at the NCAA National Championship.
