VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 11 USCA golf team is in 16
th place after the second round of action at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team moved up a spot after the first round of play. The Pacers, along with eight other schools, played between 21 and 27 holes on Friday due to inclement weather Thursday afternoon.
USCA started the day at 7:30 a.m., playing the back nine. The entire field had a shotgun start for the second round of action.
Carlisle's team stands at 17-over par, 593. After shooting 14-over par on Thursday, the squad recorded a round of three-over par Friday.
Hugo Boyer and
Ian Williams each shot even-par, 72, for the second round of action.
Karl Frisk posted a score of one-over par, 73, while
Mitchell McNeill shot two-over par, 74.
Cameron Baez shot nine-over par, 81.
McNeill leads the squad at three-over par, 147, for the tournament. He is tied for 49
th.
Boyer climbed 13 spots and is in a tie for 64
th place (+5, 149). Frisk also moved up five spots in the rankings. He is tied for 72
nd at six-over par, 150. Williams moved up 15 spots on the day and is tied for 87
th. He stands at nine-over par, 153. Baez is tied for 97
th at 12-over par, 156.
West Florida and Nova Southeastern are tied for first at 15-under par. Georgia Southwestern (-13), Lee (-12) and Florida Southern (-9) are third through fifth, respectively.
The Pacers return to action tomorrow at 9 a.m. for the final round of the NCAA South/Southeast Regional. Live stats will be available at PacerSports.com.
