AUGUSTA, Ga. – By sweeping USC Beaufort Sunday afternoon, the USCA softball team secured the No. 5 seed in the upcoming PBC Tournament, which will be hosted by North Georgia.

Head coach Jaclin Poole's team will square off against No. 4 Lander on Friday, May 8. The Pacers wrapped up the regular season with a 28-25 ledger, including a 12-15 mark in PBC play. The Bearcats finished 32-18 overall, including 16-11 against conference foes.

USCA went 1-2 against Lander on the season, picking up a 6-3 victory on the road on Apr. 24.

North Georgia claimed the top spot and will square off against No. 8 Flagler. Columbus State earned the No. 2 seed and takes on No. 7 Augusta. Georgia College is the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 USC Beaufort.

The tournament is single elimination. Game times will be announced in the near future.

The semifinals will take place on Saturday, May 9 while the PBC Championship is slated for Sunday, May 10.
