GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The No. 10 USCA golf team finished ninth at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team was led by
Ian Williams' 10
th-place finish. The newcomer shot two-under par, 214, for the 54-hole event. Williams shot even-par, 72, over the final 18 holes of play. He had four birdies during the final round of competition.
Reigning PBC Player of the Week
Mitchell McNeill took 27
th after shooting two-over par, 218. McNeill posted an even-par, 72, Tuesday. He birdied three consecutive holes and tallied four birdies for the round.
Logan Leistner, playing in his first event as a Pacer, placed 35
th. He shot four-over par, 220, for the tournament. Leistner accounted for three birdies Tuesday.
Cameron Baez was 52
nd after shooting nine-over par, 225, for the event.
Matthew Baxley was 81
st at 23-over par.
Lander won the tournament after shooting 10-under par, 854. The Nighthawks were second at seven-under par, 857, while Georgia Southwestern was third (-5, 859). Columbus State (-3, 861) and Lee (+1, 865) rounded out the top five schools.
Carlisle's squad shot 12-over par, 876. The team posted scores of 294-286-296 for the 54-hole event.
