GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The No. 10 USCA golf team is in fifth place after the first day of competition at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team was led by
Ian Williams' ninth-place effort. Through 36 holes, Williams stands at two-under par, 142. He wrapped up the afternoon by shooting three-under par, 69, for the second round.
Newcomers
Cameron Baez and
Logan Leistner are tied with
Mitchell McNeill for 23
rd place. The trio each shot two-over par, 146. Baez garnered a one-under par, 71, for the second round.
Matthew Baxley is 79
th.
North Georgia leads the field at 10-under par, 566. Lander is second at five-under par, 571. Wingate is third (+2, 578) and Lee is fourth at three-over par, 579. The Pacers are just a stroke behind Lee at four-over par, 580. After opening the day by shooting 294, Carlisle's team fired a second-round 286.
