CHARLOTTE, N.C. –
Daniel Kiprono shattered USCA's school record in the 8k Friday evening, posting a time of 25:59.79 at the Queens City Invitational.
It bested the school record by 31 seconds while he placed 50
th at the meet.
Head coach
Jim Sprecher's team was led by Kiprono's finish.
Evan McLeod was the team's second-best runner. He finished 121
st with a time of 29:22.90. Teammate
Jase Wilson was not far behind him, snagging 128
th with a mark of 31:00.53.
David Tarantino posted a time of 32:03.18, which was good enough for 130
th.
Andrew Towner was just behind Tarantino, placing 131
st with a time of 32:06.75.
Charlotte won the meet while North Carolina and Augusta were second and third, respectively. Milligan and Fayetteville State rounded out the top five.
The Pacers return to action Friday, Sept. 26, when they compete at the Bobcat Invitational.
