HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The No. 9 USCA golf team wrapped up its season Saturday afternoon at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team shot five-over par, 869, for the 54-hole event. The team tied for seventh place with Florida Southern, but the Mocs advanced on the one-hole play-off.
FSC managed to secure the last spot for the NCAA Championship by claiming the play-off win.
North Georgia finished first at 28-under par, 836 while Wingate was second (-4, 860). West Florida took third place (-3, 861) while Columbus State (E, 864) and Lee (+3, 867) were fourth and fifth, respectively. Lincoln Memorial (+4, 868) earned the No. 6 spot while the Pacers and Florida Southern each shot five-over par, 869, tying for seventh place.
Oscar Abrahamsson and
Erik Olin led the way as the two tied for 24
th at even-par, 216. Abrahamsson shot two-under par over the final 18 holes of competition while Olin shot even-par, 72, for the final round of action.
Nick Goellner took 39
th after finishing at three-over par, 219. Goellner shot two-over par, 74, over the final 18 holes of competition.
Mitchell McNeill posted an even-par, 72, on Saturday and finished at six-over par, 222. He tied for 55
th.
Karl Frisk finished 73
rd after shooting nine-over par, 225, for the 54-hole tournament.
