USCA Earns NCAA Tournament Bid!

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The USCA men's basketball team earned the automatic bid and the No. 2 seed in the upcoming NCAA Southeast Region Tournament, which was announced Sunday evening.

The Pacers will square off against Catawba. The tournament will be at top-seeded Columbus State (26-4).

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team finished second in the PBC regular season before winning the tournament title with a victory over USC Beaufort. The Pacers (23-8) take on the Catawba Indians (18-12).

The rest of the bracket is set with No. 1 Columbus State hosting No. 8 Carson-Newman (21-11). Lenoir-Rhyne (26-5) is the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Augusta (19-10). The other match-up in the regional is No. 4 Lincoln Memorial (25-5) taking on No. 5 UNC Pembroke (23-6).

It marks the third consecutive NCAA Tournament for the program and the fourth time under Vanderslice. USCA also made the NCAA Tournament in 1998, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2019, 2023 and 2024. The program advanced to the Elite Eight in 2013 and Final Four in 2014.

USCA and Catawba squared off in the Convocation Center on Nov. 10 and the Pacers bested the visitors 81-79.

USCA holds a 6-4 record against Catawba in the all-time series.

The tournament will take place in Columbus, Ga. More information will follow a teleconference.
