Hitting Home Runs
Last weekend,
Madison Rogers and
Mallory Shaver each hit their first home runs at the new facility.
Kate Newberry rattled off her second round-tripper in front of the home fans this year.
Getting On Base
In the second game of the series against No. 11 North Georgia, USCA got on base 14 times. The team tallied 11 hits, had a walk and two were hit by pitches. Additionally, the squad crossed home nine times and had six RBI.
On The Road Again
After nine consecutive home games, the Pacers hit the road for the first time since Feb. 14. USCA does not play at home again until Friday, March 21. The team will play eight games away from its home field until being able to play in front of the home crowd again.
Stepping Out Of Conference
This week, USCA hits the road to play Claflin on Wednesday. It marks the last non-conference doubleheader for head coach
Jaclin Poole's team until a home doubleheader against Anderson on Wednesday, March 26.
Inside The Numbers
This week, USCA will travel to Claflin on Wednesday, March 5 before heading to Georgia Southwestern for games on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 106-85-1 (55.5 percent) in Wednesday games, 109-101-1 (51.9 percent) in Friday contests and 244-219 (52.7 percent) in Saturday affairs. During the same time, the program is 16-13 on March 5, 12-16 on March 7 and 14-16 on March 8.
Against The Opponents
This week, USCA will travel to Claflin on Wednesday, March 5 before heading to Georgia Southwestern for games on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8. The Pacers are 23-6 in the all-time series against the Panthers. USCA holds a 20-19 edge in the all-time series against the Hurricanes.Â
