GREENVILLE, S.C. – The No. 13 USCA golf team tied for third at the Bearcat Spring Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Oscar Abrahamsson tied for first after shooting three-under par, 213. He shot three-under par, 69, for the final round of competition. Paul Esnault of Catawba and Holt Allison of Lenoir-Rhyne also shot three-under par for the event.
Wingate won the event after shooting even-par on the par-72, 7,021-yard course. Catawba finished four-over par while head coach
Michael Carlisle's team shot five-over par. The squad notched a score of two-under par over the final round of action in the 12-team field. Lenoir-Rhyne was fourth while Belmont Abbey and Coker rounded out the top five.
Erik Olin took eighth after shooting one-over par, 217. He wrapped up the event by shooting two-over par on the final 18 holes of play.
Mitchell McNeill earned a top-20 effort with his four-over par, 220. McNeill closed out the final two rounds of competition by shooting even par.
Newcomer
Hugo Boyer finished 29
th. He shot seven-over par, 223. Boyer's last round was his best, firing a one-under par, 71.
Teddy Crooke finished in a tie for 53
rd at the 54-hole event.
The Pacers return to action Feb. 17-18 at the Wexford Invitational, which is hosted by Francis Marion.
