Big Lead Early
Head coach
Mark Vanderslice's team outscored Flagler 7-0 at the start and pushed the advantage to double digits just 5:41 into the game at 16-5. At the 6:43 mark of the first half, the Pacers held a 41-21 lead.
Multiple 20-Point Games
In the 17-point victory over Flagler, USCA produced a pair of 20-point scorers.
Rhyjon Blackwell led the way with 21 points while
Jalen McCoy added 20. The dyad combined to hit 14-of-24 from the floor, including a 2-2 effort from downtown. Additionally, the two were 11-of-13 from the charity stripe.
Rebounding Machine!
Chedlet Delva was a rebounding machine in the win over the Saints. In 23 minutes of work, Delva grabbed a game-best 10 boards. It also tied his career-high mark of 10 against Limestone on Nov. 18, 2023.Â
Block Party

Chedlet Delva stuffed five shots while
Jalen McCoy got his fingers on four attempts. For good measure,
Mason Grant had a block for a total of 10. Delva's five blocks tied a season-high effort for USCA as
Simeon German had five against Fayetteville State on Dec. 14, 2024.Â
Setting The Record
In the second half at Augusta, head coach
Mark Vanderslice saw one of his student-athletes secure the school's Division II career record for points for the second consecutive season. This year,
Jalen McCoy surpassed
Tehree Horn for the career mark. Late in the second half, McCoy scored his 21st point of the contest, giving him 1,551 career points, besting Horn's 1,550. With his 33 points, McCoy completed the Augusta contest with 1,563 points.
Blackwell's Big Game
Rhyjon Blackwell had a solid game at Augusta. He netted six-of-12 field goals, in addition to nine-of-10 free throws, for 24 points in 34 minutes of work. Blackwell canned three-of-six from downtown in the win. It marked his seventh 20-point effort of the season, including back-to-back games (21 vs. Flagler and 24 at Augusta).

Inside The Numbers
This week, USCA plays at Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday, Feb. 12, before hosting Columbus State on Saturday, Feb. 15 and USC Beaufort on Monday, Feb. 17. Since moving to Division II, the program is 154-138 (52.7 percent) in Wednesday games, 245-185 (57.0 percent) in Saturday affairs and 60-39 (60.6 percent) in Monday contests. During the same time, the program is 4-8 on Feb. 12, 7-4 on Feb. 15 and 7-5 on Feb. 17.
Against The OpponentsÂ
This week, USCA plays at Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday, Feb. 12, before hosting Columbus State on Saturday, Feb. 15 and USC Beaufort on Monday, Feb. 17. The Pacers hold a 25-4 edge in the all-time series against the Hurricanes. The Cougars maintain a 36-26 lead on USCA while the Pacers are 2-0 in the all-time series against the Sand Sharks.
