AUGUSTA, Ga. – The USCA women's basketball team has been selected 10th in the PBC Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released Wednesday.
The Pacers garnered 21 points in the preseason poll. North Georgia was picked to win the league. The Nighthawks tallied nine first-place votes and 99 total points. Columbus State and Augusta were second and third, respectively. Each had a first-place nod. The Cougars had 90 points and the Jaguars amassed 83 points. Flagler (69 points) and Lander (61 points) rounded out the top five teams.
Head coach
Brittany Batts begins her first season at the helm of the program. USCA returns four student-athletes from a season ago.
Batts' team has 14 student-athletes, including three Division I transfers. The Pacers consist of one senior, two redshirt-juniors, six juniors, a redshirt-sophomore and four freshmen.
USCA opens the season Nov. 15 at Lenoir-Rhyne at 2 p.m. Pacer Nation can purchase season tickets for all home regular-season games
