Each week, USCA will post notes.
First Recruiting Class
After stepping on campus last year just before the season started, head coach
Adam Kleman made a tremendous mark with his staff's recruiting efforts. He and assistant
Kinsie Mitchell, brought in 19 student-athletes for the 2024 season. This includes 14 freshmen, two sophomores and three juniors.
A Wealth Of Experience
With a strong returning core,
Adam Kleman added a wealth of experience to his line-up with his transfers. Junior
Shy Iles played at Southern Indiana while fellow junior
Lexi Blasberg competed for two seasons at Wabash Valley College. Junior
Brooke Morrison competed at region foe Young Harris. Sophomore
Jamie Bryson was a teammate of Morrison and second-year standout
Cassidy Wines played her rookie campaign at East Central C.C. Â
Full Slate
Last year, USCA lost contests due to weather as well as illness (from the opposing team) and ended up with only 12 regular-season contests. This year, the Pacers have 18 regular-season matches starting Thursday, Sept. 5 at Anderson.Â
A Year In The MakingÂ
A season ago, USCA was unable to square off against Anderson in the regular season due to weather. However, the teams are finally able to compete against each other during the championship portion of the schedule for the first time since Sept. 10, 2021 when the teams played at Anderson.Â
Against The RegionÂ
Head coach
Adam Kleman's team jumps into region play immediately during his second season at the helm of the program. Kleman's squad begins with SAC foe Anderson before taking on region foe Francis Marion (formerly of the PBC) from Conference Carolinas.Â
Preseason Poll
The USCA women's soccer team was picked to finish ninth in the PBC Preseason Poll last week. Head coach
Adam Kleman's squad added an abundance of newcomers via transfers and high school students with his first signing class. His squad sits just outside the top eight of the league with 21 points in the poll.Â
