GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The No. 12 USCA golf team registered a fifth-place finish at the 3
rd Annual Mizuno Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team was led by
Erik Olin's ninth-place effort. He shot five-under par, 211. On Tuesday, he posted a score of three-under par, 69.
Oscar Abrahamsson's two-under par, 214, allowed him to take 25
th. He moved up 17 spots on Tuesday by shooting four-under par, 68.
Mitchell McNeill climbed three spots after shooting one-under par, 71, during the final round of play. He finished at even-par, 216, which was good enough for 33
rd.
Karl Frisk wrapped up the tournament at one-over par, 217. He shot two-over par, 74, on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 38
th place.
Nick Goellner shot nine-over par, 225, to place 67
th.
Lee won the tournament after shooting 30-under par, 834. North Georgia was two strokes back for second place while West Florida shot 20-under par, 844, for third place. Lincoln Memorial snagged fourth at 15-under par, 849, while USCA's seven-under par, 857, allowed the squad to take fifth.
The Pacers return to action Sept. 30 when they compete in the Bearcat Fall Classic.
