GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The No. 12 USCA golf team is in sixth place after the first day of competition at the 3
rd Annual Mizuno Intercollegiate.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team shot one-under par, 575, through the first two rounds of action. The squad opened with a one-over par, 289, before firing a second-round two-under par, 286.
On the par-72 course,
Erik Olin's second round of five-under par, 67, put him in the team lead at two-under par, 142. He is tied for 14
th after soaring 45 spots with his stellar second round.
Karl Frisk is just a stroke behind Olin at one-under par, 143. He garnered an opening-round three-under par before shooting two-over par, 74, Monday afternoon.
Mitchell McNeill put together a strong second round at two-under par, 70. He moved up 24 spots to 35
th place and stands at one-over par, 145, through 36 holes of competition.
Oscar Abrahamsson is tied for 42
nd place at two-over par, 146. He shot one-under par, 71, on the first 18 holes of play before shooting three-over par, 75, for the second round.
Nick Goellner is tied for 62
nd at five-over par, 149, in the 90-person field.
Lincoln Memorial leads the way at 15-under par. Lee and North Georgia rounded out the top three spots in the field. Columbus State and West Florida are tied for fourth at five-under par.
