USCA Signs Outstanding Class

2024_WXC_Signees

Women's Cross Country | July 23, 2024

AIKEN, S.C. – USCA, in conjunction with head women's cross country coach Marshall Leonard, is excited to announce his 2024 signing class.

"I'm extremely happy to add this class of recruits to our program, as we are adding a mix of transfers and high school runners," Leonard said. "We have a wide range of cross country individual state champions and cross country junior college runner-ups at the national championship. This group of student-athletes will help push our program to where we want it to be."

His class includes Ainhoa Colino, Jenna Couch, Emma Cox, Sydney Fallin, Savannah Hill, Gabrielle Jourdain, Kendall Reynolds and Jade Weber.

Colino is a 5-2 junior from Berriz, Spain. The transfer from Columbia College posted a 5k time of 21:20 as a sophomore and a 6k time of 25:36. She picked up Freshman of the Year honors for track & field and was a scholar-athlete award winner for cross country.

Couch is a 5-4 sophomore from Fort Mill, S.C. The transfer from Columbia College notched a 5k time of 21:51. She also posted a 6k mark of 26:35. Couch attended Catawba Ridge H.S. and was a four-year letterwinner.

Cox is a 5-5 junior from Pekin, Ill. The Heartland C.C. standout posted a 5k time of 20:40. At Pekin Community H.S., Cox registered a time of 19:55 for the three-mile event as a freshman. Her best effort in the event came as a sophomore where she crossed the line in 19:26.

Fallin is a 5-3 freshman from Fleming Island, Fla. The Fleming Island H.S., standout picked up all-county honors three times. Her personal-best time in the 5k occurred during her junior season with a time of 20:11. 

Hill is a 5-7 freshman from Sedley, Va. The Southampton H.S., standout notched a 5k time of 20:47 as a junior. A three-time team MVP, Hill garnered all-district honors four times and was the two-time Tri-Rivers district champion. She was the two-time District Runner of the Year. 

Jourdain is a 5-7 freshman from Sandy Run, S.C. A standout at Calhoun Academy, she led her team to the SCISA II Class A state title as a senior while finishing third. Jourdain won the event as a junior and picked up two SCISA II Class A region cross country titles. She has a personal-best time of 20:03 in the 5k.

Reynolds is a 5-6 freshman from Manchester, N.H. The Pinkerton Academy standout guided her team to a state title as a senior. Reynolds led her team to the USATF Junior Olympic Regional Championships as a sophomore.

Weber is a 4-11 sophomore from Irmo, S.C. She attended Newberry College as a freshman and posted a 6k time of 26:44 at the SAC Championship while crossing the line in 25:39 in the 5k at the Argonaut Invitational. The Dutch Fork H.S., standout was a two-sport letterwinner posted a 5k time of 22:38 as a senior.
